两者都很必要,同时给出指导和帮助更能有效改善这些国家的状况
International organizations offer different types of support to help developing countries with their economic, environmental, social and political development. Clearly financial aid is critically important, but adopting a pragmatic approach is of greater importance in many cases.
There is no doubt that developing countries can benefit from economic support. This money can help fund the building of schools, the construction of roads and bridges, and the financing of business start-ups and expansions. However, detractors will point out that financial aid from international organizations often does not reach the people or parties for whom it is intended due to mismanagement or corruption. Obviously, local people need to be educated and provided with training so that they can manage the support wisely.
Practical assistance and advice can provide the groundwork for a more sustainable economy, and also for the more efficient use of funds and resources. As an example, one international organization provided corn to a developing country in the hopes that the people there would plant the corn and create a sustainable food source. Instead, the people ate the corn. What was intended to be a plan of providing an ongoing food supply became a one-time food donation. If the people were fully trained and could apply practical knowledge to maximize the corn’s potential, the outcome would have been positive.
Although financial backing is certainly beneficial to a developing country, the benefits will be of limited value unless it is accompanied by practical guidance and expertise regarding how to use those funds.
