Some parents give their children everything that their children ask for or allow them to do whatever they want to do. Is this good for children? What could be consequences for these children when they grow up?

While I certainly think it is good for children to get some of the things that they ask for, I do not think it is a positive thing to give them everything. Parents who allow their children to have and do whatever they want are doing them a disservice in the long run because these children will have unrealistic expectations of the world.
Arguably, children should have some of the things they want because this will help them to lead a happy and interesting life. They need things like toys, video games, and comic books to occupy their minds and help their brains develop.
Nevertheless, it is also important that children do not get everything they desire because they may wrongly believe this is how the world works. They will just become frustrated with life since they may feel entitled to things they cannot have. For entitled people, difficulties in their future careers and family life are likely to occur.
In the workplace, it is important that you are a productive employee. However, people who got everything they wanted as a child may not be adept at working hard, so they may not be good at problem-solving and working through difficult issues. And when raising their future families, there will probably be much friction when entitled people realize their spouse and children will not blindly give in to their demands. It will be a frustrating time indeed!
Therefore, it is safe to say that satisfying all the wants of children is disastrous. They will grow up wrongly believing that if they want something, they will likely get it. Such unrealistic thinking will make them feel disappointed and lost whenever things do not turn out as they want.
