Some people believe that rich countries should provide poorer countries with other types of help rather than financial aid. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

It is believed that wealthy nations should contribute differently by not just providing financial aid to developing countries. I strongly agree with this premise.
On the one hand, financial aid can be beneficial to developing nations because it provides them with the necessary finances to build infrastructure and grow their economy. However, financial assistance is often mismanaged and falls prey to corruption that exists in many poorer countries. For example, Nigeria has received financial aid for over a decade, but it is frequently reported in the news about the wide-spread corruption related to financial donations from foreign donators. Therefore, financial aid does not necessarily come into effect as expected.
In contrast, other forms of aid offer a long-term holistic approach to help poor nations become self-sufficient and flourish. Support such as technological, medical, and educational expertise will help them overcome urgent social problems. For example, medical experts from Europe go to Vietnam to train local doctors to perform challenging life-saving surgeries so more lives can be saved because of the training.
In addition, offering educational assistance allows a country to educate its population, which has profound long-term financial rewards as companies will be able to hire more qualified employees to deal with challenging jobs. Thus, non-financial aid is more likely to make contribution to long-lasting prosperity.
In conclusion, financial aid works as a vital short-term injection of money into the beneficiaries’ economy. However, giving money is often short-sighted, instead aids related to a variety of core areas are the ultimate solution to overcoming poverty.
