Today, in many countries, both women and men work full-time. Logically, women and men should share household tasks equally. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Modern society has seen both husbands and wives working full-time to put food on the table. Because of this sharing of economic duties, some claim both spouses should equally do household tasks. I generally agree with this idea.
Having both spouses share the household responsibilities helps prevent burnout. Working full-time to support the family is difficult, but so is taking care of the home. Doing the dishes and cleaning rooms are just some of the many household tasks. While they might not be as challenging as paid work, they still require physical and mental effort.
Additionally, parents must care for their children, which can be taxing physically and emotionally. So, it would be unfair to expect just one spouse to do everything.
Next, sharing in the household duties strengthens the marital bond and serves as an example for their children. When spouses do not share the household duties, there is often much resentment, leading to a strained relationship. Conversely, mutual respect is fostered when they choose to help one another. It is also good for children to see their parents cooperating so they can understand at a young age that both parents must work together to raise a family, hopefully translating to a similar effort from them once they get married.
Nevertheless, there are some household duties that one spouse may be better at than the other. So, duties should be done according to their respective abilities. If one spouse cooks well, the other can do the dishes. If one is better at the more physical tasks, the other can do the chores that require more finesse. In this way, they share the responsibilities but do not have to do things they are not good at.
In summary, both working spouses should help out at home. Doing so allows them both to be productive at work and home while strengthening their marital ties and, ultimately, the family bond.
