Air travel can only benefit the richest people in the world. Ordinary people have little to gain from the development of air travel. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Traveling by plane seems to be the privilege of the wealthiest members of society. Although there can be no argument that air travel is still more readily accessible to people who are well off, air travel developments have allowed people with lesser means to benefit as well. Therefore, I disagree with the assertion that its growth has little to offer ordinary people.
There is no doubt that air travel is relatively expensive compared to other forms of transportation, such as buses or trains. However, because of more low-cost airlines and stiff competition within the industry, flight tickets are much cheaper than ever before, allowing ordinary citizens the opportunity to travel as well. This has led to a broadening of minds in the other class levels since those fortunate enough to have saved up for such a trip positively influence the community around them. This should be viewed as a good thing, as many in the working class today now desire to travel around the world by plane.
Furthermore, a developing airline industry can facilitate commerce, which, in turn, can provide a boost to the economy. Everyone, including those who cannot afford to fly, benefits from a robust economy. As air travel becomes more widespread, this creates a variety of local employment opportunities, including baggage handlers, customer service representatives, and reservation personnel. The expansion of the industry also has a knock-on effect as it increases the income of everyone, from taxi drivers to hotel receptionists. So it is ignorant to say that only the wealthy benefit from air travel development.
Although air travel is not available to everyone, the various improvements in the aviation industry inspire ordinary people to dream big and pave the way for economic growth that benefits all levels of society.
