野生动物保护的资源投入

It is argued that society has put too much effort into protecting wild animals and birds. Although human concerns should be the priority, I think ecosystem concerns, including the protection of animals and birds, also deserve attention. I will discuss the issues with prioritizing animals and argue the important role animals play in the world.

On the one hand, people think that too much attention has been given to various conservation efforts. Equally, if governments care too much about animal protection, there will be less financial support or resources for solving societal issues such as poverty, disease, and hunger. For example, environmental funding in Japan has led to a shortage of money for programs that help the homeless, leading to an increase in crime and poverty. Therefore, it would be better to solve problems like these before helping animals.

Additionally, I believe protecting animals which we regularly consume for food, is a waste of resources when compared to the benefits of helping society.

On the other hand, wild animals and birds play an important role in the ecosystem, and if they are not protected, they may be likely to disappear. As an example, brown bats are a species of flying mammals that are currently afflicted by a disease which is called white-nose syndrome. As a result, many of these bats are dying, and the brown bat population has decreased substantially. These brown bats are known to eat thousands of mosquitoes each day, without them in the ecosystem to control the mosquito population, all of us, including animals used for produce, will be subject to larger quantities of disease-carrying mosquitoes.

In conclusion, humans do have a degree of responsibility to protect lower life forms such as animals and birds. However, I firmly believe that social problems as well as the resources needed to solve them should always take priority over the concerns of animals and birds.
